Sorry gang…..I’m back. It’s been a crazy week as always during Charlotte. I’ve had appearances all week and most of all we had our Fan Club Outing at Dave and Buster’s. We had a great time and I hope you enjoyed the change of atmosphere for the Charlotte outing we’ve had for the past 4 years. We wanted to offer ya’ll a nicer atmosphere to spend some time with me instead of the past outings we’ve done at the ball field and track. Great places to hold events no doubt, but just something different to try out for this year. The comfortable setting for the meal was a nice addition. It was great seeing all of you and those that couldn’t make it – we definitely missed ya! I have just gotten over my first visit to Mansfield. It’s a nice little track until you have to race on it. It reminds me a lot of the tracks I raced on in the Busch West Series. We had an open test Thursday and finished 6th on the board. Had great hopes, but came back on Friday and the truck felt nothing like it had before. It’s been difficult the past couple of weekends and for the remaining races, to show up and get a good feel for the truck on these tracks I’ve not raced on before. I think all of us on #13 Pork/ThorSport team are making significant strides in the overall operation of the team. It’s very difficult being in NC and not being a part of the everyday operations that go on. We have managed to work together and I feel very confident when I roll into the track and see my race truck for the first time for each race. We improve every week and have a long way to go, but I feel we are headed in the right direction. Next race…Dover!
