HOOPER NAMED CREW CHIEF FOR EARNHARDT, NO. 13
SANDUSKY, Ohio (March 27, 2006)—Lance Hooper has rejoined ThorSport Racing as crew chief for Kerry Earnhardt and the No. 13 Chevrolet Silverado, the team announced on Monday. Hooper was previously crew chief at ThorSport in ’04, and has also been crew chief for Glynn Motorsports and Key Motorsports in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. As a driver, Hooper competed at the highest levels of NASCAR, and is a former Winston West and Southwest Series champion.
Hooper is eager to work with Earnhardt. “I’m looking forward to working with Kerry,” said Hooper. “It’s my responsibility to provide him with a good truck to drive each week, and that’s what I’ll try to do. It’s a matter of us communicating well, and bouncing ideas off each other and growing together. I’m confident that we’ll have a strong partnership.”
Hooper replaces interim crew chief Steve May, who will return to his duties as Director of Competition at ThorSport. |
